Czech development studio Bohemia Interactive has today announced that the team will be discontinuing its support for ArmA 2 Free, three years after is initial announcement.

According to a press release sent from Bohemia, on April 22nd the free-to-play cut down version of military sim ArmA 2 will be shutting its servers down and discontinuing availability. "Bohemia Interactive wish to thank the many thousands of gamers for their interest in Arma 2 Free and look forward to new projects in the future," reads the press release.

As a thank you from the team, Bohemia will also be offering a rather large 75% discount on the ArmA 2 franchise from April 8th to May 4th, though it looks like this discount is only applied to their official store.
