Gauntlet is coming back for another go, this time courtesy of publisher Warner Bros and Swedish indie studio Arrowhead with a currently PC exclusive title for both Windows and SteamOS.
At the recent GDC expo in San Francisco, AusGamers man on the ground, Nathan Lawrence had a chance to go hands-on with some couch co-op multiplayer and came away reasonably impressed:
The Gauntlet remake may be a simple concept, but it’s pretty, frantic and perfectly suited for the push for PC games to return to the couch with its full support for SteamOS and Steam Machines. If you were fond of the original, there’s plenty of fan service here, while newcomers can look forward to a fun dungeon-crawling experience that’s best played with others.

I might grab this if it's any good. The missus and I love our coop games on the couch.

I'm a little dubious about this courtesy of the hiccups and headaches that plagued Magicka.
Might wait til a demo lands, but the trailer for this makes it look the goods!

@ carson, I couldn't tell you whether it's the first big steamOS game, but I'm glad Warner was pushing its compatibility with all things Steam.
