Battlefield 4's Naval Strike DLC will launch on April 15 for players without Battlefield Premium memberships, according to a
tweet from the official Battlefield account.
Naval Strike brings four new maps with some watery themes, ten assignments, five new weapons, two gadgets and of course a hovercraft to manoeuvre around on. The expansion also features a new Carrier Assault mode, a remake of the classic Titan mode from Battlefield 2142 in which players will fight to sink the opposing sides ship while keeping their own afloat.
The DLC was originally planned for a March 25th release to all premium members, however only PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 platforms gained access on the original date. The Xbox One version was delayed to address "issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations." The Windows PC version was also delayed after developer DICE discovered an issue that would have caused poor performance within the DLC. Naval Strike launched on Xbox One on March 28, with the PC version hitting earlier this week.
