Japanese studio Vahalla Games has confirmed that its supernatural ninja action title Devil's Third is still being developed, promising an new reveal later this year. The game's fate was left uncertain following the demise of former publisher THQ, when the project's rights were returned to Valhalla Games founder and Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki.
The announcement by way of a
Facebook post by Itagaki-san also featured an updated logo for the game:
You can see that we've upgraded our title logo. I wanted to go for the metallic feeling of the Breitling that I love so much. But I don't really wanna tell you exactly why, sorry ;D
The reference to Breitling is presumably about the using the range of Swiss designer watches as inspiration for the brushed metal texture in the logo, which doens't seem terribly interesting in the context of the videogame.
The last we saw of the actual game was in
this debut trailer from E3 2011, so we expect things might have changed more a little since then.
