For Australian Eastern Daylight folks 3:00 PM is your starting time, while Australian Central Daylight zones starts at 2.30 PM. Those of us living in Queensland who shun the Daylight Savings, our time is 2:00 PM and for Western Australia gamers your start time is 12:00 PM. To those across the seas, New Zealand's launch time is 5:00 PM.

If you want to play right on the unlock, you should log in and create a game before the unlock and play through to Diablette. The game will transition to Act5 when you kill her after 2pm/3pm and you will miss the congestion to create a new game / log in.
If I'm free from work that's my plan.

You can line up a Diablo kill during the minutes after expansion unlock and continue seamlessly into Act 5. There will apparently be no downtime.
However, Tuesday night shutdown/restart, who knows what's going to happen...

They're pretty reliable about posting maintenance. It will probably go tits up though and need hotfixes a la cursed chests etc. and there may not be enough room on the AU server for everyone.

Thinking the same thing. Some d******* will find an early loophole and force Blizz to shut it down for emergency maint.
I bet this is one of the underlying reasons for not having an AH at the moment. If someone works out a way to farm something awesome, they can't do anything with it or make gold from it until Blizz can cleaned it all up.

IIRC we still have to connect through to the Battle.net login servers, and then we are pushed over to D3 Australian servers. If anything is going to go belly up, it will be the login servers.
