CD Projket RED, developer behind the Witcher RPG series, will be announcing a new mobile game very soon according to a new management report.

Originally reported by Eurogamer, the developer confirmed to the site that a standalone team has been working on a mobile game for a year and it will be announced "very soon." According to the original report, which uncovered details about the game in a translated management report, "It's a multiplatform mobile game, made with advanced technological capabilities of tablets and smartphones in mind."

Currently it is unclear whether the game will take place in the Witcher universe, or quite possibly CD Projekt's other in-development project, Cyberpunk 2077, or whether this will be an entirely new IP.

"Smartphones and tablets are truly powerful platforms these days and are finally giving us the ability to develop mobile games we would like to play ourselves; games that are taking full advantage of newest smartphone and tablet technologies, and offer the quality level that we, as a studio, are always aiming to achieve," co-founder Adam Kiciński added.
