Following last week's news of a publisher Activision collaborating once again with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, fans of the classic Tony hawk's Pro Skater videogame series were jazzed at the prospect of a potential resurrection of the seemingly retired franchise.

However, we've now learned that the project is planned as exclusive to mobile devices. Speaking with Bloomberg, Hawk expressed his excitement at targeting the smartphone and tablet market (via Polygon):
"We're working on a mobile game now," Hawk said, following the recent reveal of an Activision-published skateboarding game currently in development. "We're working on a game for mobile devices this year.

"We've never gone exclusively in that direction yet so I'm excited because, with the amount of time people are spending on their phones and their tablets playing games, we've never had our own game in that space so I'm excited to provide one finally."
So there you have it. Still excited about a skateboarding game coming to your iOS and Android devices?
