Following last year’s release on mobile devices, Square Enix has today announced
that Deus Ex: The Fall is coming to the PC platform, albeit with some much-needed modifications from its mobile predecessor.
The game’s been adapted for the PC, meaning (of course) full keyboard/mouse controls, but also a whole bunch of other little bits too - so if you didn’t fancy dipping into Ben Saxon’s story previously, now would be an eminently sensible time to reconsider. After all, the game was produced with the original creative team from the superb Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and there's the small matter of new tracks penned by none other than Michael McCann...
The game will include the usual PC port benefits ranging from keyboard/mouse support to resolution options, however interestingly Square Enix has opted to remove the in-game purchase options, presumably because they don't quite translate well to the PC platform. Other additions include adjusted AI, 28 Steam achievements, a revised tutorial and of course Steam trading cards and badges for the collector in us all.
The Steam version will be available come March 25th, and will sell for $9.99, but if you pre-order the game now (or grab it for a limited time after launch) you’ll also get the original Deus Ex – Game of the Year Edition as well, for free. Those who may own it already will be able to gain a gifted copy to spread the love among friends.
