Following comments made by skateboarding icon Tony Hawk during a recent radio interview that he is working on a new videogame, publisher Activision has reportedly confirmed its involvement in the project.

Speaking with IGN, an Activision representative noted that "Activision can confirm that they have something in the works with Tony Hawk, more info is coming soon".

The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games were a tentpole franchise for Activision for over a decade before spiraling into franchise fatigue next to stablemate Guitar Hero, with the launch of skateboard peripheral-packing Tony Hawk: Shred -- itself a follow-up of the disappointing Tony Hawk: Ride -- signalling the brand's hibernation in 2010.

Arcade skate games have never been my thing. I live and breath Skating, and Black Box f*****g nailed it.
I love TH but he got sucked in to the wrong idea of what should be a Skateboarding game.
