Deep Silver's upcoming Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena (ZOMBA) title Dead Island: Epidemic is now accepting closed beta sign-ups, according to their
official website.
Coined as DIE by the team, the new website also reveals a bit of the more intimate details on what to expect from the new MOBA, which is most likely going to feature some rotting parts of the undead. The "core mode" of Epidemic "features 3 teams of 4 battling it out in a competition to grab supplies, hold key points, outsmart the competition and blast through hordes of zombies." Controls are "good ol' WASD," which are touted as the cure for "Last Hitting, mouse-click-to-move nonsense."
The free-to-play title is also boasting a range of craftable weapons, the cornerstone feature from the co-op Dead Island titles of past. The system will allow you to "get the edge (pun intended) on the competition and build an arsenal to suit your playstyle."
Dead Island: Epidemic has yet to be given a release date, and is currently planned for a PC release.
