Disney Infinity looks to be growing according to a new report by The Wall Street Journal, which revealed that both Star Wars and Marvel versions are currently in-development.

The news comes paired with reports that Disney's interactive media branch is preparing to lay off "several hundred people despite a strong launch for its video game, 'Infinity.'" This is coming after Disney revealed that their new toy and video game series had sold over three million since launch in August last year, which also helped Disney generate $16 million in operating income on its $396 million of revenue, marking only the second profitable quarter in its five-year history.

Disney Infinity is currently utilising several of Disney's IPs, including Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney recently acquired the Star Wars IP in 2012, when it bought Lucas Arts.
