Comedy duo Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of the always-hilarious TV show South Park, have revealed a new behind the scenes video showing just what kind of antics the team at Obsidian get up to while working on South Park: The Stick of Truth.
You begin as the new kid in town facing a harrowing challenge: making friends. As you start your quest the children of South Park are embroiled in a city-wide, live-action-role-playing game, casting imaginary spells and swinging fake swords. Over time the simple children’s game escalates into a battle of good and evil that threatens to consume the world.

Arm yourself with weapons of legend to defeat crabpeople, underpants gnomes, hippies and other forces of evil. Discover the lost Stick of Truth and earn your place at the side of Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny as their new friend. Succeed, and you shall be South Park’s savior, cementing your social status in South Park Elementary. Fail, and you will forever be known… as a loser.
With a look at just how Stone and Parker hope to bring their TV show to video game life and some of the key elements being brought into the video game, the new behind the scenes video also gives some brief glimpses at new gameplay that you can very soon expect to be playing. Check it out below.

South Park: The Stick of Truth will be available March 7th in Australia on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

So buying this.

On a related note, how far away are we from being able to enter our own dialogue in games instead of being the silent new kid? :D

Is combat like a fighting game? Like MK or something, if so that is a big turn off for me. Poor old randy at the end. I like the idea of it this though, just not sure about the execution of it.

it's turn based combat like in JRPG's.
