There's no movement all over the place in Creative Assembly's upcoming licensed Alien title, it's back to basics with a single creature inspired more by the horror themes of Ridley Scott's 1979 film over the more action-oriented sequels.

Publisher SEGA has let loose a few more screenshots for our viewing pleasure, exhibiting some more creepy stills from the lonely space station that is hoping to create some brown trousers when the game ships late in 2014 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Hit the thumbs below for the full gallery (thanks VG247).

I watched Alien last night again, I used to think it was one of the more boring Alien movies in the franchise but the more you watch it the more you appreciate the approach it took compared to the other movies.

This game is going to be awesome, but they really need to get the Alien AI correct, it needs to be designed so it's not scripted and you can't predict it's movements.

I like that the alien actually looks proper creepy and fills that doorway all creepy like.

So basically it's you versus a single Alien in a spooky atmospheric environment? Colour me intrigued. I've always wanted a story driven SP game where it's you versus a single enemy. Hope they nail it.

Pretty much Amnesia meets Alien. iirc, there's no real weapons in the game. They're trying to capture the suspense of the first film.

I over the past 3-4 years have come to appreciate how good the Alien movies are (Alien and Aliens only). I am right into that "Low-fi" tech look, its awesome.

Part of me wants to play this because of the scenes and design of it but the other part would be like

Alien & Aliens are awesome

Alien 3 is okay really tried to create that suspense feel that Alien did but didn't do it as good

Alien Resurrection was just wtf but still a good watch, I think this was the first time they used CGI on the Aliens as well?

Alien and Aliens are great. One of those rare occasions were the sequel may actually be better than the original or near enough it matters not.

No there was CGI in Alien 3 as well.

The Director's Cut of Alien 3 is pretty good actually.

Yeah, was very minor cgi on the runner in aliens 3 but the directors cut used a bit more. Ressurection was ok. But just seemed like a desperate attempt at ressurecting the saga.
