Blizzard has announced a release date for the PC and Mac version forthcoming Diablo III expansion Reaper of Souls, committing to a launch on March 25 2014 and announcing several price points for digital download and boxed retail versions, as well as digital deluxe and collector's edition of the game.
All of the above comes with the Reaper of Souls Standard Edition, which players can pre-purchase a physical copy of for $49.95 AUD RRP, or $44.95 AUD digitally. Players also have the option to upgrade their pre-purchase to the Digital Deluxe Edition ($64.95 AUD), which contains a wealth of in-game bonuses: Exclusive helm- and weapon-transmogrification recipes for players to distinguish their character among the champions of Sanctuary; a Spectral Hound minion that players can summon to keep them company on their epic journey; three additional character slots for new heroes; a World of Warcraft in-game companion pet—the Treasure Goblin; and a set of StarCraft II Crusader-themed Battle.net portraits, and Malthael-themed decals.

A physical Collector’s Edition will also be available for $89.95 AUD RRP. It includes all of the in-game bonuses from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a full-colour hardcover art book, a behind-the-scenes Blu-ray/DVD two-disc set, and a mouse pad bearing the impenetrable visage of Malthael, the Angel of Death. Supplies will be strictly limited, so fans are encouraged to pre-order early to avoid disappointment.
Pre-orders are now open over at www.diablo3.com/reaper, and it's worth noting that the Australian pricing (for the digital versions at least aren't too far removed from North American prices points of US$40 (versus AU$45) for the basic game, and US$59.99 (versus AU$64.95) for the digital deluxe. Factor in GST and the recent falling exchange rate and we actually come out ahead for a change.

Reaper of Souls has also been confirmed for PlayStation 4 in the form of The Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo 3, which will bundle it in with the base game for Sony's new platform. No release date has been set for that one, but you can find out more about it in our recent developer interview.

Hmm, says it's $54.95 for the standard and $74.95 for the deluxe digital versions on the Diablo 3 site. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing? Anyway I'll prolly grab the deluxe version to get the WoW pet.

EDIT: Weird. If you follow Dan's link it is more expensive but if you go to the main Diablo 3 page it's cheaper.

EIDT2: Doesn't matter what link you follow it still takes you to the more expensive price. Even has AUS next to the price. Looks like we get shafted anyway. lol

@Reverend Evil: The pricing I listed came straight from a Blizzard Australia press release, so seems like something screwy might be going on.

seems kind of steep, I believe the length of it is about the same as act 2 I heard, so it'll be sub 10 hours

Looks like the price page has been changed to match the prices listed in the main post.

Yeah, the collector's edition is a total ripoff at almost $90.

Having said that I pre-ordered one anyway :(

Guys it 45 bucks for Pete's sake. I spent $100 odd on D3 CE and have 250+ hours up and hundreds more ahead. There's probably 100+ in ROS alone. Pretty cheap entertainment if you ask me.

Its 45 for 1 act when the original game should of been 60 for 3 or whatever it was... seems like a bad deal for F*****GC***'S (who the f*** is pete?) sake.
