Indie developer Polytron has revealed that their dimension warping platformer Fez has surpassed its millionth unit sale across all platforms, with the dev revealing the good news through
their website.
"Fez has now sold over a million unit across all platforms," said the developer in a post on their official site. "That's right, a cool mil! And we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for buying the game! Thank you for stealing it! Thank you for telling your friends about it! Thank you for buying it again when it came out on PC! Thank you for boycotting it so well! Thank you for putting up with the bullshit! Thank you for all your love letters, fan art, cosplays and freakin' tattoos you got, you crazy bastards! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Despite the high sales for the original title, Polytron has given no word on resuming development on its sequel. Fez 2 was cancelled back in July, when Polytron's Phil Fish - original creator of Fez - decided that he had enough of dealing with a "long, bloody campaign" of abuse due to the success of Fez and his somewhat outspoken nature. Development on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 versions are still continuing however.
