As with every MMO since the dawn of time, ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2 is gearing up to celebrate Christmas with a new WIntersday-themed content update come December 10th, though this one looks to be lasting longer than the usual two week long span.
The nights may be growing longer and colder, but Lion’s Arch is merrier than ever before! Wintersday is returning to Tyria, along with everyone’s favorite toymaking inventor – Tixx! Celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of the next in this six-week winter festival!
Returning once again to help celebrate Christmas in Tyria is Tixx’s marvelous miniature toys, all available to once again collect incase you may have missed out last year. Toymaker Tixx’s workshop is also returning, though this time with a few tweaks to the previous year's content.
Other features include the Winter Wonderland multi-path jumping puzzle, a bell choir that will task you with recruiting friends to sing your lungs out, the Toypocalypse event where you'll find toys running amok and a snowball fight to round things off.
New rewards are also being offered up in their neat little wrapping this year, including the increase of Armorsmith, Leatherworker and Tailor crafting to skill cap 500. With this increase you'll be able to now craft your own Ascended armor once you hit Grandmaster Crafter. New healing skills have also been added to help those in need while battling the rampant toys.
