Those who may not have had the chance to purchase the single-player DLC Platinum's cybernetic action game Metal Gear Rising: Revengance will be happy to hear that both DLC packs are now available for free (thanks Eurogamer).

Konami announced today that both the Jetstream and Blade Wolf DLC are now free to download for anyone who owns the game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the base game also receiving a price cut. "The lower price point gives new fans the opportunity to experience the game at a reduced price, with the added bonus free DLC packs that lengthen the overall experience," Konami said.

For those who may not be familiar with the game, Platinum's slice-and-dice game stars cyborg ninja Raiden, who utilises a nicely sharpened sword to slice up his enemies. The Jetstream DLC is a side story starring Brazilian lone swordsman Samuel Rodriguez as a playable character. If you feel like you haven't had enough dogs in games, the Blade Wolf DLC is another side story with robot dog LQ-84i as a playable character. Woof.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengance is currently available for free to those who have a PlayStation Plus membership on PlayStation 3 (thanks Groganus).

If you haven't played this game yet i urge you to do so cause it has copious amounts of awesomeness. The Jetstream Sam DLC is a lil short for my liking but the fact that you get to play as him with his own set of moves, combos and attitude was worth it. Haven't tried the Blade Wolf DLC yet so i'll be awn it pronto, especially now since it's free if you already have the game.

If you have a PS3 i believe the game is free for PSN + subs this month, along with Remember Me.

It is indeed Grog, thanks for reminding me! Agree Fixah, this is an awesome game just for the cutting mechanics.
