Those still eagerly going about stealing cars and holding up convenience stores will be happy to hear that Rockstar has revealed that the first part of the long-awaited stimulus package - a $500,000 total sum of cash to make-good for severe issues players were experiencing during the first few weeks after GTA Online's launch - will be coming next week once the game receives its fifth path.

Earlier this week Rockstar stated that it was still working on problems with players losing their character progress in GTA Online. An update to the blog post confirms that "Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week." Time to party.

The first part of the $500,000 stimulus is expected to go live after the patch next week, once Rockstar are able to confirm that the existing character progression problems have been finally fixed.

What will you be spending that cool $250k cash on first? Let us know in the comments below.

Dunno if I'll spend it on anything, I got bored of the multiplayer pretty quickly. Maybe if they add stuff like these long talked about heists it'll be more interesting.

Yep I only play multiplayer if some mates are on, it's the only time it's fun.

I find it takes ages to fill a match everyone just seems to want to sit in the freeplay killing eachother

I have had a stint or two at gta online but have no friends in the game so that takes the fun out of it.

The 'join your crew' thing never worked for me either, like I could go into the crew part of the menu and see people in the Ausgamers crew online, but whenever I'd try and use the "Join a game your crew is playing" option it'd fail and say it couldn't find anyone to join.
