Deep Silver and 4A Games have today released the final piece of DLC for Metro: Last Light, titled Chronicles Pack. Featuring three original solo missions, the Chronicles Pack invites players to step into the shoes of some of Metro: Last Light’s enduring characters in gripping plotlines that run parallel to the story of the main game’s protagonist Artyom.
Discover how Anna, the unflinching Polis Sniper, tried and failed to rescue Artyom from the Reich forces in the ruined botanical gardens. Put the irrepressible Pavel’s deadly skills and ingenuity to the test as he attempts to escape the Bandit Lair beneath Venice. And guide Khan and Ulman through the forgotten, haunted tunnels of Polyanka in a chilling supernatural tale that reveals a dark secret from Khan’s mysterious past.
The Chronicles Pack also offers up a fan-made weapon called the Multi Barreled Bicycle Shotgun. Created by Alexandre Bannwarth, a 1st year design student from New Zealand, the weapon was discovered by 4A Games and re-created with permission for Metro: Last Light.

“We hope fans of Metro: Last Light have enjoyed the additional content,” said Andrew Prokhorov, Creative Director at 4A Games. “It has allowed us to experiment with some new gameplay ideas such as the ‘Ranger’ mission from the Faction Pack and the Tower Pack, and we have paid close attention to all the feedback. But we think the Chronicles Pack will be the fans’ favourite as it contains three unique story-based missions featuring some of the game’s best-loved characters.”

The DLC pack is available at a price point of $4.99 but is also included in the Season Pass for free. Check out the trailer and screenshots below but also swing by the last developer blog for a full look at the new DLC.

Im not a fan of (and dont understand) this DLC released months after release business. Wikipedia says last light was released May making this ~5 months after release.

I would much rather DLC be released a month or two after the game's release when the game is still recent and hopefully is still installed or yet to be finished.

For multiplayer games or long ass games like fallout of skyrim it doesnt matter so much as 6-12months later people are still avidly playing but ~10hrs campaign length for last light i think means many people have finished and forgotten about it.

Its another incentive to keep you wanting to play the game. Especially with consoles, as soon as that disc comes out you can bet they won't put it back in for quite some time. DLC released over a longer period of time makes people keep that disc/game loaded because they know that more content is coming soon.

This is why Season Passes are so popular because people feel like they've saved on a pack of DLC and they know they'll be getting future DLC for "free" compared to singular purchase prices.

Valid point but for me once im finished/done with a game, there is very little chance i will pick it up again if content comes out later.

Apart from Minecraft or Terraria updates, i cant think of any other game that ive picked up once new content came out after i was initially done with it.

Given the new games constantly being released and attracting people's attention, i think this delayed DLC business probably appeals mainly to the fans of the game.

oh definitely. If you didnt like the game there is no way you would go re-install it for this DLC. But as you said it was a short campaign so for those who finished it and were "aw the games finished i want more". I think they are the poeple who are going to just be right into this

Yeah its kind of making stuff just for the fans but some dlc like that should be ok

and i actually enjoyed last light enough to finish it so i might reinstall and give this a go (after watching some reviews).

BF3/BF4 is the best example.

Preorder this game that hasn't come out yet. Oh, and preorder the 5 DLC's for it.
