ArenaNet is once again gearing up for their Halloween-themed update, this time bringing the ghostly spectre of the Bloody Prince to Tyria. A number of features from last year's Halloween update make their way back, including the death-defying Mad King's Clocktower jump puzzle and of course the Mad King himself.
Halloween is drawing near, and Magister Tassi’s instruments are picking up some unusual energy readings. The Mad King isn’t the only one breaking through the barrier between realms—prepare to face the son of Oswald Thorn, Bloody Prince Edrick!
Alongside the themed updates comes a number of changes to the core game of Guild Wars 2, including combat quality of life fixes that offers up new ground targeting options, improvements to targeting, and a new, optional way to display condition damage numbers.

ArenaNet will also be offering up the first season of their quite large World vs World PvP mode. Come December 5th, ArenaNet will be "splitting up worlds into leagues, and each world within a league will compete against every other world over the course of the season."

Of course it isn't just the spooky tricks that players will be participating in, with some sweet rewards also on offer for those eager to face the ghosts of the past. Those completing the Blood and Madness meta achievements will be able to gain a small but cute Mini Candy Corn Elemental, while others collecting Candy Corn will be able to trade or new Halloween items like a Mini Bloody Prince, a 20-slot Halloween Pail, and special crafting items needed for Halloween weapons.
