Sleeping Dogs developer United Front Games has revealed they are working on a new title set in the same universe as their Hong Kong sandbox, confirming the previously rumoured name Triad Wars.

A recent trademark application revealed the name earlier, however United Front Games has now officially confirmed the title in a post on their official website. It is unclear whether Triad Wars will continue where Sleeping Dogs left off with undercover cop Wei Shen, but expect at the very least some form of Triad representation.
So, we’re making a new game! We can’t say a lot about it right now, but you might have read about a trademark registration for something called Triad Wars? Well, we’re super-excited that it’s another game based in the Sleeping Dogs universe, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for ages.
Those eager for more information will have to sadly wait until 2014, but United Front Games has stated they'll be partnering up with Square Enix once again for the new project so hopefully we won't have to wait too long for more.

Just finished Sleeping Dogs a few days ago. A sequel was imminent given the way the ending was left open, (not to mention the game was a financial success). Was surprisingly fun and the campaign was a decent length. They just need to make Hong Kong feel a bit more a live especially at night. Sometimes when i was free roaming it felt like it was playing a survivor horror in a ghost town.

I think it's bit of leap to assume it's a full sequel to the open world game. Triad Wars sounds more like the kind of name that publishers give to a mobile title.

yeah its solo campaign was good the driving felt nice the fist fighting was done pretty well story was ok and the cars had both a warp and ninja tunes station

tho id agree its a game that once you play thru it to the end you prob wont play it again (or maybe once more a few years later when you find it on an old hard drive or something for nostalgia sake)
