State of Decay developer Undead Labs has revealed in a new blog post that the title has reached more than one million sales since its launch back in June. The large number is inclusive of both the original Xbox 360 launch and the currently in-development Steam build which went live last month.
As we said at the half million mark, we are humbled by your continuing support and enthusiasm for the ideas in State of Decay. Your encouragement drives us to keep working and keep improving. You got us here with your energy, your feedback, and your telling your friends about us. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and brains.
The developer also stated that development for the title won't stop, with current work being done on both the PC version and a new DLC pack named Breakdown. According to TenTonHammer the new DLC will feature "new Heroic Characters, additional weapons, and the new Survival Mode to the game."

Those wanting to try their luck at winning a copy of the DLC for free can head over to the Undead Labs website and post your favorite memories from State of Decay’s development or in-game experience.

Of course its doing well its got zombies. Even that god awful warz got people to buy it.

Played some of the steam beta for State of Decay. It was a pretty clunky experience and I gave up on it after about an hour. Not the worst zombie game ever (warz might have that title) its just that the combat seemed of the repetitive whack a mole type, The graffix were a bit of a mess and the interface didn't feel intuitive. The zombies also suffered from not really seeming like a threat.

Now i know its still in beta for PC release so maybe some of the rough edges will be ironed out.

Yeah I also only played it once on Steam. Will also wait for the full release and hope it's better.
