“It’s not impossible [to get into Formula 1], and there are a couple of New Zealanders [in open-wheelers] at the moment. One guy called Mitch Evans is actually Mark Webber’s protégé – a miracle considering he’s a New Zealander and Mark’s an Australian – but there are no Australians for Mark to help at the moment.”

Isn't Ricciardo, Webber's replacement at Red Bull, another Aussie in an open wheeler or am I missing something here.

There are many of us that are hopeful that "Codemasters" have done something positive about their s*** netcode.
One of our guys compiled a race start from different recordings showing how different the perceived positions of each car are to each driver. The ridiculous situation being that you can be hit by someone who on their screen, is not there at all. F*****g the experience for all.

with net code sync being dependant on any particular users' upstream speed, i'm surprised it even work's across a distributed network at all

*there fixed :p, ta

Trillion. I get 116 meg down and 2.5 meg up. S*** net code is s***. There is no excuse to allow a situation where different entities in the same multi player session show relate to different XYZ coordinates between the entities. Relevant collision detection is impossible while this is allowed.
