Guerrilla Games has taken to the
PlayStation Blog to unveil official details on the upcoming season pass for their PlayStation 4 exclusive title Killzone: Shadow Fall, revealing savings on the first six expansions which includes access to the new online co-op mode.
We’re pulling out all the stops for Killzone Shadow Fall’s multiplayer, and we already have several forms of downloadable content planned for extensive post-launch multiplayer support. In addition to new competitive multiplayer maps – which, as we mentioned before, will be released for free – we’re also working on paid expansion packs that will further enhance your online experience.
One of the first expansions on offer in the season pass is the online co-op mode, which will add a new co-operative game mode in which "you and up to three online friends must survive against impossible odds." The expansion pack will also include four maps to play in the new arena mode that will also feature a unique levelling system and new unlocks.
The other five expansion packs include three co-op specific ones, which will offer two new arena maps within each expansion totalling six maps all up, and two additional multiplayer expansion packs which Guerrilla Games is expected to reveal more information on before launch. The season pass has been tagged at $19.99.
Alongside the season pass details a new multiplayer trailer has also been revealed, offering up some chaotic gameplay which you can check out below. Killzone: Shadow Fall will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 alongside the console's launch in Australia on November 29th.
