With only a few days to go until the worldwide release of open-world title Grand Theft Auto 5, Rockstar has revealed Lifeinvader, a new fictional social networking website for players to "stalk" various in-game NPC characters.

Visiting the official website sends you to a random profile, complete with tongue-in-cheek status updates parodying the likes of Google+ and Facebook. It isn't just social benefits that this website offers, with a Rockstar community manager commenting on the recent blog post revealing that any "Social Club members who log in and Stalk one of the Lifeinvader.com brand pages offering a deal will get that special discount in-game in GTAV Story Mode as long as you’ve linked your copy of the game to your Social Club account next week."

Grand Theft Auto 5 will be launching on September 17 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If you haven't yet, swing by our official forum thread for all the latest on what our community is planning on doing come launch including our official AusGamers Crew.
