Space Hulk: Deathwing, the latest game based on the board game of similar name and set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, will put a different spin on the franchise as a first-person shooter experience, Focus Home Interactive has today announced.
Developed by Streum On Studio, the team behind E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, Deathwing will be utilising the new Unreal Engine 4 and be co-produced by Cyanide Studio and Focus Home Interactive. Players will find themselves in the shoes of a Space Marine from one of the most secret and most feared Space Marine Companies: the Deathwing from the Dark Angels, and will be sent into battle against Genestealers — alien enemies — in the tight, claustrophobic tunnels of a Space Hulk ship.
Space Hulks drift along the currents of the Warp, the immaterial dimension of Chaos. Made up of gigantic mangled asteroids, derelict ship wrecks and other spatial debris, they sometimes grow to the size of a moon and often contain treasured and ancient lost technologies. However, they are ripe with danger including infestations of the lethal Genestealers.
Players take on the role of a Space Marine from one of the most secret and most feared Space Marine Companies: the Deathwing from the Dark Angels. Strap on your Terminator armour and equip the emblematic weaponry of the Space Marines to overcome the threats awaiting you in the Space Hulk. As a Librarian, you will also master the destructive powers of the Psykers. Your skills and performance in battle grant you Fervor Points, to spend on 4 skill trees allowing you to improve your abilities, unlock new powers, access powerful relics and devastating new weapons.
Check out the teaser trailer below for the first teaser of Space Hulk: Deathwing. No information has been revealed yet on when exactly we can expect this alien-shooter to appear, and what platforms it will be coming out on.
eh people like you are the bane of gaming. Haven't seen a lick of gameplay or anything other than some s***** trailer and are signing up for pre orders left right and center.
So is this an add-on for the Space Hulk game released not long ago? That game was complete ass! Buggy as all hell and slow as s***. Seriously in one of the missions I had a stuck door to force open, and it took me 4 complete turns to open it up! I mean come on, 4 turns for one of the God Emperor's finest to open a friggen door??????
