PopCap Games has revealed in a recent interview with
ShackNews that their upcoming third-person shooter Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will not be including any single-player campaigns.
Instead, players will find that PopCap has included up to four player support in the co-operative mode and up to 24 players in competitive modes. Garden Warfare will also be priced as a "budget" title, with PopCap outlining a USD$39.99 tag on Xbox One and a USD$29.99 on Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
Justin Wiebe, the game's creative director, has also outlined that PopCap are aiming to develop additional content outside of the initial launch, though it is unclear if this will be paid or free DLC.
"We definitely want to build on the game once it's launched," Wiebe told ShackNews. "We're definitely taking a cue from Plants vs Zombies 2. Using DLC and new content updates, we want to keep players engaged in the long haul."
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is expected to be released in 2014 on Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360, with other platform releases soon after.
