FlatOut series and Ridge Racer: Unbounded developer Bugbear Entertainment has unveiled their latest addition to the racing scene, with the announcement of "Next Car Game" for PC coming early 2014 as a digital download.

Bugbear revealed the news through their official website, where those eager enough to smash and crash their way to victory can pre-order the title to gain early access to a pre-alpha build.

Bugbear describes the game as a " high-octane racing game" that combines both the over-the-top, reckless racing action of the FlatOut series with the ferocious wrecking fests of the Destruction Derby games.
If you’re familiar with the original FlatOut experience, you already know what we’re aiming at: exhilarating racing action with sophisticated physics and damage modeling, only this time we’re upping the ante on almost every front. This is the game we envisioned way back in the early 2000s, only re-imagined for today’s technology and gaming standards.

Oh, and we've got full-blown, straight-up demolition derbies, too, to go with your full contact racing.
If this sounds like your kind of racing style, then hit up the official website for full details on what you gain with your pre-order plus check out the announcement trailer below for all the juicy gameplay glimpses.

Indeed, although i find it an incredible bad timed idea, with The Crew and NFS Rivals being released within the next 6 months i can't see this really exciting many people.

$25 spend.

It's not EA, and so long as it more closely resembles FlatOut 1 (moreso than BugBear's 2 or Ultimate Carnage) $25 easily spent. (Came out to $28.91AUD odd after conversion)

Definitely excited for this. I've always prefered the more arcadey style of racers with good car smashing action compared to the simulator Grand Turismo styles of racers.

Someone needs to make a game like TDU, but actually works really well. The idea of a sub-MMO racing game set in a seamless environment gives me a bone.

TDU did it well, but the infrastructure/netcode end wasn't the best and really let a good idea down.
