Borderlands developer Gearbox Software has revealed during a recent PAX Prime 2013 panel that the studio is currently working on two new and original games headed to next-gen consoles (via IGN
No details were offered on what exactly these two titles could possibly be, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford teased that fans will be able to gain early beta access to one of the title's through Gearbox's unique Community Day event coming up soon.
For the past few years, we've been throwing an event called Community Day down near our office in Dallas, Texas. It's been a great opportunity to connect with fans, offer a glimpse into what the future holds, show a behind-the-scenes peek into game development, marvel at amazing fan-created costumes and props, and overall just hang out with the people whose passion and support makes it possible for us to create experiences like Borderlands 2 in the first place.
But awesome as that has been, as we approached this year's event, it felt like something (or, perhaps more accurately, someone) was missing: you! So, this year we're trying something a little different. This year, we want you to be a part of Community Day no matter if you're in Dallas, Texas or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Luckily for those who can't be there on the day, Gearbox will also be offering a "Digital Bonus Pack" that includes access to one of the yet-to-be-revealed next-gen titles. The pack is priced at $19.99 and also comes with Borderlands 2 Community Day Heads & Skin Pack, Homeworld HD & Homeworld Classic download code and a HD stream of the Community Day.
