Wanting to be more accessible to the swelling wave of independent game developers on PC, Mac and Linux, DRM-free digital distributor GOG.com has launched a new submission process, and information portal for indies wanting to sell their games on its platform.
This new portal gives game developers a tool they can use to submit their game and speak to GOG.com about the release. The webpage provides information on how it is exactly to be partners "the GOG.com way", allowing for an industry norm-defying advance on royalties, direct feedback on the game from the gamers on staff, and continuous effort to showcase all new releases on the website and throughout its social media platforms.
Indie games such as Hotline Miami, Rise of the Triad, to The Moon, FTL, and Legend of Grimrock have enjoyed economic success on GOG, as the site continues to expand its library from its classic games roots. Check out the trailer below for some indie devs saying more nice things about GOG.com.
