While WayForward may be busy gearing up to release the HD remake of DuckTales on various platforms tomorrow (expect our review soon), the developer has now turned their attention back to Mighty Switch Force 2, mainly in releasing it on Nintendo's Wii U home console.

Talking to Nintendo Everything, WayForward has revealed that the title will eventually see a release on the Wii U, however currently its a "backburner project." This isn't that big of a surprise, considering last year we saw the announcement of Mighty Switch Force gaining a HD re-release.

No release date has yet been given on when eager firefighters can expect the previously 3DS-exclusive title to make its way to the GamePad screen, but if you are feeling the heat you can grab the title now on the 3DS eShop. Those in need of a touch up on what exactly Mighty Switch Force 2 is all about, check out the official trailer below.
