The CCG world is a daunting one, often even for hardened gamers, but more and more collectible card games are winding up on digital platforms, and when one of them happens to be based off a videogame, rather than spun into one, well us gamers ought to really pay attention.

I recently had a chance to check out Blizzard's newly-announced Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft in limited hands-on form, and I have to say, it was inviting. The game pulls as much from its source material as it does work to maintain a sense of what it means to play this style of game. It's gorgeous to look at (when you consider how static CCG can be), wonderful to hear and thoroughly exciting to think about delving into.

Man i'm so excited for this. When they announced it I was skeptical, but after watching some of their commentaries and stuff I fell in love. It looks sick as.
