After months of not knowing whether Activision will be bringing their upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts title to the Wii U, fans of the Nintendo console can now rejoice as the publisher has confirmed that Ghosts will be making its way to the console, complete with GamePad support. The title was announced alongside a handful of other Activision titles to come to the Wii U, including extended support for Skylanders.
“As we have said before, we’re committed to doing everything we can to support the Wii U, which is why we’re excited to be bringing some of the most popular entertainment franchises in the world to the platform this year,” said Eric Hirshberg, Activision Publishing CEO.
“The Call of Duty franchise continues to be one of the most powerful forces in gaming and Skylanders continues to enchant new fans around the world. Our studios have been hard at work creating brand new immersive experiences perfectly suited to the Wii U platform and our fall lineup has something for everyone.”
The official press release for the announcement states that the Wii U title will feature "Wii Remote and second-screen Wii U GamePad support," with Treyarch announcing that they will be handling the duties of porting the title.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will release on November 5 for Wii U, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.
