Previously know as as Ruin, PlayStation 3 and Vita dungeon-crawler Warrior's Lair has been officially confirmed as cancelled. While it has been in limbo for some time since its debut at E3 2011, where it showed off the now prominent cross-play feature between console and handheld, the news does mean one less title for both platforms.

"Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm that Warrior’s Lair for PS Vita is no longer in development," a Sony representative told IGN. "We apologize to those who pre-ordered the title and ask that they contact their retailer directly to cancel their pre-sale." The PlayStation 3 version was also confirmed to be cancelled by Shacknews.

Warrior's Lair has received a number of questioning rumours sinces its reveal, with developer Idol Minds having thought to have been closed down. These rumours also suggested that Sony San Diego were suppose to finish the title's development, however it never showed up at E3 2012, pushing further evidence that the game was in some form of trouble.
