After successfully taking on the Ninja and Starving themes for their past two titles, Klei Entertainment has revealed their latest project, Incognita.
Described as a turn-based tactical espionage, Klei co-founder Jamie Cheng revealed to
Rock, Paper, Shotgun that players will once again be offered a procedurally generated world where they will try to steal objects from the most secure places in the world. "It’s gonna be pretty raucous. It’s almost like we’re taking all the learnings from Don’t Starve and Mark of the Ninja, and making something new with it," Cheng revealed.
Incognita will also utilise Klei's previous early access model that they used in Don't Starve, offering up a playable but early title for feedback and support. Currently no date specific date has been given yet on when to expect this XCOM-styled title, however Cheng did reveal that the game is currently in a playable state but "we’re thinking it’s gonna be late in the summer. But it’s really when we feel like it’s ready, at least for feedback."
Those on PC will be the first to experience this interesting title, with support for Mac and Linux to be announced sometime later. No word yet on any mobile platforms.
