Although Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has currently only been confirmed for console platforms (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One), comments from Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima indicate that an eventual PC release is likely, but not a priority right now.

During an interview with Gametrailers (thanks PCGamesN) explained that they are actually developing the game on PC --a scenario that will likely be much more common among developers moving into the new console generation, as the x86 architecture of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, makes the PC a natural middle-ground for the dev process.

I have a novel idea, just make the game in a standard Mpeg2 AVI format and it can be multi-platform.
