When Ratchet and Clank developer Insomniac Games first announced that they would be jumping into the over-the-shoulder-guns-blazing genre with their newest title, Overstrike, many were intrigued as to what they could offer. After several delays and a total revamp of the game including a name change to Fuse, it was unclear exactly how much of the "Spy-Fi” game was left intact.

To help defuse the situation, we got our expert in the field James Pinnell to give the explosive-heavy title a bash and find out whether the shift in development has paid off for Insomniac or all but blown up in their face.
Fuse is what happens when someone had a great idea that got greenlighted in a meeting 4 years ago, before executives and VPs stripped it down during development until there was nothing left but a shell.
