Destiny, the sci-fi multi-platform title from Halo developer Bungie, could see a release on PC according to a recent interview on IGN with senior writer Eric Osborne.

Announced earlier this year, the new title will be seeing a launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, however surprisingly PC was not on the list. Bungie co-founder Jason Jones has described the game as a "console shooter", however it seems Osborne has not ruled it out yet. Talking to IGN, Osborne revealed that “we haven’t said yes, and we haven’t said no,” putting some hope in a release on the PC platform.

“We haven’t said yes, and we haven’t said no,” Osborne stated. “The more platforms we take on, the more work it ultimately becomes, and what we don’t want is to compromise the core experience on any platforms. We have a lot of people who play on PCs. We have a lot of appetite to build that experience. We haven’t announced it yet, but we’re looking forward to talking more about that kind of stuff in the future.”

Only reason they aren't ruling it out now is cause the Xbox one is x86 based platform and since they are releasing for the Xbox one they might as well also go for PC.

I feel like if they do port it to PC it will most likely be a poor PC port, I wouldn't hold my breath..

I dont know how a "core experience" would be worse seeing its bloody PC which is superior in hardware ffs, only thing that would happen is show the console versions aren't as good

These kinds of statements are extremely frustrating.

If a developer just said "we don't want to release the game on PC" I would accept that.

I thin kin regards to their core experience, perhaps they are concerned the increased responsiveness from a keyboard / mouse set up, not to mention it being far more precise, may trivialise the content.

By core experience, do they mean slow sluggish combat at 30 fps and a narrow FOV? If that's the case, they can keep it on console for all I care.
