Cryptic Studios has revealed the headstart dates for those who purchased a Founders package for upcoming free-to-play MMO Neverwinter. For those who purchased a Hero of the North package you'll be able to jump into the Dungeons & Dragons action on April 25, with Guardian of Neverwinter users gaining access on April 27.
For those who have yet to grab a Founders package don't fret, you'll be gaining access to the open beta on April 30, however you can still
purchase a package if you feel the need.
"We've never been in a better place launching a game," said Jack Emmert, CEO, Cryptic Studios. "While the entire team is focused on launching Neverwinter's Open Beta on April 30, we still wanted to thank those committed Founders who stuck with us. Since the beginning of Neverwinter’s Beta Weekends, our Founders have shown us that Neverwinter offers engaging game mechanics, unique features and a gameplay experience that is parallel to subscription or paid games. They have become our biggest supporters and we wanted to give them Beta Weekend 4 as a token of our appreciation."
Those looking to get a upper hand on
downloading the client will find they can do so on April 20, and those who already have the client downloaded will also be able to start patching on the same day.

So this early access to the beta, I have never really seen the attraction there. I mean I have been looking forward to the game as much as anyone (i think i made the first thread about it here) but paying money to get access to a beta to then have all of your progress gone when the game launch officially seems silly.
Am I the only one who feels this is a bit of a cynical grab for cash by the devs?

Ive read on the forums from the Devs there is no wipe after this open beta...so beta straight into launch.
That's why the founders are getting their 3 or 5 day headstart now.

now that is interesting, so If you hit whatever lvl in beta you just continue on launch?
thats kinda cool actually.
