MCVPacific is reporting that unconfirmed rumours are currently suggesting that the development team at Australian studio KMM who previously worked on LA Noire may be out of jobs. The team was working on a detective thriller based in 1936 titled "Whore of the Orient" which was apparently set to use the Depth Analysis mechanic that LA Noire used to allow for high-quality acting visuals.
According to the rumours, the development team is no longer working on the title but the company has yet to close its doors (presumably to continue looking for funding). It seems the title had never officially garnered a publisher, with only a
single screenshot of the game ever surfacing.
Development on Whore of the Orient began when Team Bondi became embroiled in controversy after the launch and success of LA Noire and a developer exodus due to alleged poor working conditions. Aussie studio and film production house KMM moved to salvage the brand and remnants of the team.
