Carbine Studios has opened up beta registration to the public today for their upcoming sci-fi/fantasy MMO WildStar, which you can signup for over here. NCSoft has revealed to Destructoid that the upcoming beta tests will not be opting for the usual weekend shifts, but instead focusing on week long testing to ensure the highest quality.

WildStar infuses amazing stylized art with the latest technology to create a stunning visual experience. Set on a wondrous alien world, WildStar delivers a wild and mysterious adventure among the ruins of an advanced civilization - allowing you to play the way you want to play while experiencing an unprecedented level of exploration and discovery!

So far the game is shaping up to be an interesting addition to the genre with housing, farming, dungeons and PvP on the cards plus your usual MMO features. No word yet on whether the title will be free-to-play, buy-to-play or subscription-based however NCSoft are expecting a release later this year.
