BioWare's Mass Effect trilogy is done. At least on the single-player front, and with that in mind, and knowledge there's more left to explore in the vast Mass Effect universe, we took to working out what would be viable, as a game, next in the franchise.

Whether or not it's a direct follow-on to the trilogy, or a prequel leading up to the events that have transpired the past six years, there's a vast and rich book of lore and history to draw from, as well as a host of compelling and interesting races. We chose five, looked at their histories, potential storylines and what game type we think would best suit.

The drell assassin game sounds pretty cool. I wouldn't mind a sort of SW: republic commando style game with turians/asari during krogan rebellion or somesuch

IMO I reckon they'll probably just go for a ME version of cod. Which would still be awesome. But these EA execs are too in love with tried&true formulas/market research to ever venture outside the box when it comes to gameplay mechanics.

Bioware are getting more action adventure and less RPG game by game.

Whilst I've not played the ME Franchise (long story; I've not played it, but I know what it is, and its significance to 'gaming' in general) I can only hope that the events of the game aren't such that it was 'make or break' for that universe (that is, that the story didn't dominate the 'life and times' of it's setting).

I don't know about 'prequels' anymore, I really doubt a prequel could be done well if it were done over multiple games either... I'd think going with Star Wars as an example, that any spinoff ME games could take place in a parallel capacity or after the events of the game.

I'd kill for a star wars game done like mass effect.
