Recently launched cross-media and multi-platform title Defiance has been running into a few launch troubles according to the rumbling feathers of customers, with developer Trion Worlds outlining that some regions such as North America are experiencing downtime as much as "two times a day."
Executive producer Nathan Richardsson has taken to the
official blog to outline that that while servers are still being taken down to deploy small fixes, the team are also actively pursuing other priorities as well. Issues with VOIP and chat plus game server crashes remain on the to-do from previous blog updates, however disappearing items in the Salvage Matrix are a new addition.
Richardsson revealed that those who are still experiencing issues with client download, patching and connectivity issues should seek out customer support for further help.
The blog update also outlined that while the team was suppose to start work on DLC development, with the start date being this Monday, the date has now been pushed back a week in favour of gameplay improvement and fixes. Richadrsson also provided details on just how exactly the development team was categorised, ensuring players concerned about the recent DLC announcements that the team is currently focused on higher priorities.
That being said, we prioritize our development team in general categories just as we prioritize what individual issues we work on. If a person has anything in the highest category, that person works on that before anything else.
"We have good leads on our top issues, better visibility and signal-to-noise ratio after this week, and I’m confident that our woop-to-wtf ratio will improve considerably in the next days," stated Richardsson.
