Ubisoft has revealed the first gameplay footage for the fourth main instalment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, giving us a glimpse at what to expect from the Caribbean-themed title. Giving a glimpse at pirates, possible underwater gameplay, the infamous Blackbeard and the newest dual blade combat the trailer surely looks promising. According to Pixel Enemy, the gameplay trailer is supposedly running on a high-end PC setup.
In the Gameplay Reveal Trailer for Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, embark on a treacherous journey as Captain Edward Kenway, a pirate trained by Assassins, and relive the truly explosive events that defined the Golden Age of Pirates.
Alongside the gameplay reveal is also the announcement of a collector's edition, something many Assassin's Creed fans will be familiar with. Four edition will be available on release, which include the Special Edition, the Skull Edition, the Buccaneer Edition and the Black Chest Edition. Each edition will contain the base game and various in-game content including single-player missions however every edition above the Special Edition includes bonus items like an exclusive case or soundtrack. The most interesting edition however is the Black Chest, which includes a 55cm Captain Edward Kenway diorama, a world map, three single-player missions, all pre-order packs, a black flag, a collector's box and various other art booklets and soundtracks.
Currently EBGames and JB Hi-Fi are selling both the Special Edition and the Skull Edition, however only EBGames has a price listed for the Buccaneer Edition at $108 for PC and $128 for Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will be out on 31st October for PlayStation 3, PC, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4.
