Capcom has today announced a late June release window for the action adventure FPS Lost Planet 3, the third chapter in the Lost Planet series. The new title will be following in the footsteps of Jim, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III.
Lost Planet 3 will deliver a diverse range of gameplay including on-foot battles and intense first person action. With a number of multiplayer modes and a compelling single player experience, Lost Planet 3 will delve deeper into the Lost Planet universe, uncovering hidden truths within the unique and dynamic environment of E.D.N. III
Capcom has also revealed a new trailer and screenshots that introduce the Snow Pirates and new giant Akrid, the Carrier. The trailer continues the story of Jim Peyton’s time on E.D.N. III as a NEVEC employee seeking out further sources of the planet’s energy supply T-Eng. During one of these missions, Jim comes under attack from E.D.N. III’s indigenous Akrid, causing his Utility Rig to fall down an icy fissure, leaving him unconscious and injured.

Lost Planet 3 will be available on June 28th for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
