Aquaman has been revealed as the 16th playable character in NetherRealm's upcoming DC Comic themed fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, with a new trailer showcasing the quite badass King of the Atlantis. Commanding his many loyal underwater creatures, the trailer gives a glimpse at just what to expect from Arthur Curry including a brief overlook at what he'll be doing story wise.
While Aquaman has long been the butt of many jokes between comic fans, this trailer definitely looks to revise that thinking with the use of a brutal finishing off move that involves sharks, the use of both melee and long-ranged attacks with his trusty trident and of course a new look based of DC's "New 52" comics.
The trailer isn't just showing off Aquaman though, as a brief glimpse is shown of Captain Marvel - better known as Shazam - however it isn't known whether Captain Marvel will be a playable character or simply based in the story mode.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will be available for PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on April 17th.
