It looks like Batman will be back for another round in the recent Rocksteady Arkham series, with Time Warner's investor call last week confirming that a new title will be seen in 2013 (thanks
VG247). Time Warner's CFO and chief administrative officer John K. Martin stated "And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012.”
While details are still unknown as to where the next title will take place, VG247 has confirmed via their own sources that the Rocksteady Studios who previously developed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are currently not attached to this particular game, however no official word has been given yet from Warner Bros. on whether this is the case.
Earlier in the year Warner Bros.
started registering several different Arkham domains including Universe, Dark Knight and Origins, however absent was the "Arkham World" domain, a running joke from previous Arkham City title and a 2011 VGA stunt Joker pulled. Previously Rocksteady was rumoured to be working on a Justice League game set in the Silver Age, which could fit with current rumours that they aren't working on this next Arkham title.
