EA has announced a new untitled expansion will be making its way to the virtual world of The Sims 3, hinting that the expansion will offer Sims the chance to travel to the future, an apparent first for the series. While details are still slim, the press release has revealed that the expansion will be making its way to players later in the year.
“With the release of three new expansion packs, a new stuff pack, and premium content through The Sims 3 Store, we are looking forward to seeing what our players create and share online with so many great options,” said Scott Evans General Manager of The Sims Studio. He continues, “We are dedicated to building quality games with unique themes and exciting new content for The Sims 3 that add tremendous depth to The Sims 3 gameplay experience.”
Players of the virtual reality will also find two new expansion will be making their way to The Sims 3 this year, the University Life expansion, and the Island Paradise expansion. Each one will add additional content to help create your virtual world, including the introduction of a fully customisable boat in the Island Paradise expansion.
The Sims 3 University Life will be available in March on PC and Mac, and The Sims 3 Island Paradise will be available in June. You can read the full press release
