The LEGO name has been around for many years now, and with it a variety of different figurines, play sets and video games that have kept family and friends busy for hours. Included among the video game titles like Batman and Harry Potter is the first Lord of the Rings video game, developed by Traveller's Tales, which follows the Peter Jackson film trilogy, which in turn follows (as close as possible) the books by J.R.R. Tolkien.
We asked our own LEGO specialist Gameboffin to try out the first in what could be more Lord of the Rings titles in small brick form and see just how it fares to the movies and books.
For this fantasy lover, LEGO The Lord of the Rings ticks all the right boxes. In fact, after a very average gaming year (or, to be fair, a year full of disappointments and very middle of the road narratives), it has reignited my appreciation of relaxing with a fun game.
