At this years VGA 2012 Awards, Ubisoft has revealed their upcoming episodic singleplayer DLC "The Tyranny of King Washington" for Assassin's Creed 3. The three-part series has been confirmed by Ubisoft as being non-cannon, and will be available to all those who hold a Season Pass for wall-climbing assassin title.
As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land, our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.
You can check out the reveal trailer below, however no official release date has been given yet.

Keen, really enjoying AC3 (not surprised). I'm up to sequence 8 atm and for me the stand out that I did not expect at all has been the naval warfare, it kicks ass, hopefully there will be more of that. Ubi could prob make a separate pirate game based off of it.

Also could not help but think that this alternate history from the reveal vid is the reality of America today.
